Lowering the Bar is based in Weston-super-Mare and works with refugee, asylum-seeker and other migrant communities.
We help people to access education and employment by providing ESOL classes.
In the past, we refurbished bicycles and passed them onto people who needed them. We still have a few bicycles but the main project has ended.
We started as part of Refugees Welcome North Somerset but incorporated as a separate organisation in December 2022.
